Kayla Denotaris has always been bad at expressing her feelings and emotions through words. Struggling with OCD especially, it can be difficult to vocalise her thoughts to others due to fear of judgement. Drawing and painting allows her to truly be honest with herself and explore emotions and memories that she can’t seem to accurately describe with words. She likes to make her pieces as dream-like and semi-surreal as she can. While most of her pieces have a personal meaning, she hopes to invoke a sense of wonder and fascination to the viewers and she enjoys hearing everyone’s different interpretations.
